La Saint Patrick : poèmes
Tongue twister :
"Lucky leprechauns leap lightly on logs."
Poem
Don’t Pinch !
When I got on the school bus,
I was in for a surprise.
My friends all stared and pointed.
There was mischief in their eyes.
A kid who sat in front of me
reached out and pinched my knee.
My friends all started laughing,
but the joke was lost on me.
And then I got a second pinch.
I felt it on my ear.
And then I felt a third and fourth.
You guessed it-on my rear.
I asked, "Why are you pinching me ?
I think it’s very mean !"
They said, "Today’s St. Patrick’s Day
and you’re not wearing green."
Leprechaun Stew
Leprechaun stew, Leprechaun stew,
If I don’t get some,
I don’t know what I’ll do.
Give away my pot of gold
Give away my shoe.
But don’t give away my Leprechaun Stew.

One green shamrock, in the morning dew,
Another one sprouted,
and then there were two.
Two green shamrocks, growing beneath a tree ;
Another one sprouted,
and then there were three.
Three green shamrocks, by the cottage door ;
Another one sprouted,
and then there were four.
Four green shamrocks, near a beehive
Another one sprouted,
and then there were five.
Five little shamrocks, bright and emerald green,
Think of all the luck
these shamrocks will bring.
